Restorative Medicine
Is It Right For You?

With the addition of Dr. Joe Jacko to our practice, we have reintroduced our PRP injection services. PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections are used to treat chronic pain injuries such as tendinitis, ligament injuries and other degenerative joint diseases.

PRP Injections

PRP injections are prepared by taking anywhere from one to a few tubes of your own blood and then running it through a centrifuge right here in our office. The resultant concentrated platelets are then injected directly into the site of injury. This causes a release of growth factors that stimulate and increase the number of reparative cells your body produces, thereby accelerating the healing process.

Some of the key advantages of PRP injections are that they can reduce the need for anti-inflammatories or stronger medications like opioids. In addition, the side effects of PRP injections are very limited because, since the injections are created from your own blood, your body will not reject or react negatively to them.
