It's time to start living pain-free
My name is Kaitlin Hartley and I am the physical therapist at Grandview Primary Care & Performance Medicine Institute. I graduated in May 2017 with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University. The majority of my experience in physical therapy is with orthopedic/musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
I thought I’d write this blog post with some Q&As to tell you all a little bit more about what physical therapy can do for you as well as discuss why we chose a cash-based payment model!
Q: What kind of conditions do you treat?
A: We can treat the majority of musculoskeletal injuries/conditions throughout your body, including:
Neck pain, headaches
Shoulder pain, shoulder impingement, other shoulder injuries
Post-surgical (shoulder surgeries, joint replacements)
Hip pain, Femoroacetabular Impingement Syndrome (hip impingement)
Neurological symptoms (numbness/tingling)
Postpartum corrective exercise (I am about 4 weeks away from finishing my 3 month Postpartum Corrective Exercise course)
Prevention/wellness (Please see our website/Advanced Wellness Program)
Q. How much do the services cost?
A. We offer one-on-one, individualized physical therapy sessions. We also offer preventative services through GPC’s Advanced Wellness Program, which includes a complimentary PT evaluation. Please see the physical therapy section of our website for more information on pricing.
Q. Do You Take Insurance?/Why A Cash-Based Model?
A. This is a cash-based physical therapy practice meaning we accept cash, check, and credit card. Insurance is not accepted. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, one-on-one care without any restrictions from insurance companies/third-party payers. Often, third-party payers place restrictions on physical therapy visits that influences the plan of care a person needs.Often, our prices end up being cheaper than if insurance was billed due to deductibles and/or co-pays as co-pays can range from $25-$75 per visit.
Q. How often will I need to come to physical therapy?
A. Our model allows me to provide one-on-one physical therapy sessions meaning we have the time for manual therapy, exercise instruction, education, and home exercise program planning as needed. Thus, my goal is to get you better faster so you can move better, feel better, and achieve your goals to get back to living your lifestyle! Typically, this would involve 1 appointment every 1-2 weeks. The number of total visits required will depend on each individual patient and will be discussed at your initial assessment so that you leave with a proper understanding of what the plan is. I will work with you to create the best plan for you!
I would love to help you with any pain/injury you may have so that you can achieve your goals, maximize your function, and get back to enjoying your life pain-free! My favorite part of being a physical therapist is getting to help and watch people achieve what they didn’t know was possible! YOU can get started today :)
